Fairy Tale Fair Summer 2013 :o)

Last weekend we returned to the magical Fairy Tale Fair in Patcham! This was the fourth time we've sold at this gorgeous event, the first time being last summer...one of our first ever fairs EVER! The Fairy Tale Fair is organised be the lovely Claire of Cat-a-Cake Creations, who as well as designing her own fantastic range of cute and colourful acrylic jewellery, works INSANELY hard on promoting the fair and all of the sellers. Seriously, no-one could work harder or put more hours in than this girl! We've got to do a shout out to her lovely parents too who also work really hard to ensure the smooth running of the fair!

I didn't take too many photos and the ones I did take were on my phone so please excuse the shoddy quality!


We were surrounded by all our favourite lovely crafty friends! Here's Toby of I Like Cats and Georgia of Cheap Frills having a natter (you can see the beautiful Cheska of Mooshpie in the background too!)

Sitting opposite Toby's stall all day was a bit like torture.....soooo many lovely things that I wanted! He has so many exciting new products too! I treated myself eventually to a handpainted ring...


Mooshpie's stall is always beautifully presented and full of handprinted goods which are filled with magic and stories. This lady screenprints, goccos, illustrates, binds books, animates... I'm pretty sure there's nothing she can't do :o)


The beautiful work of Cat-a-Cake Creations...I LOVE the new Carrousel Collection! Check out the GIANT ice cream necklace! This particularly pleases me as I find no-one ever makes jewellery big enough...bigger the better :D

Black Cat Screen print :o)

This cheeky black cat is now available in our Etsy shop as a handprinted A3 screenprint.
We screen printed him and the sad little fish in his belly on our kitchen work top using water based jet black ink. We aren't allowed actual pet's in our flat (silly renting rules!) but these two little characters make us very happy instead :o)

Brighton Etsy Craft Camp Window

Today we helped to install the Brighton Etsy Team's Craft Camp window at Super+Super! Well, I say we helped but Jam mostly helped with his tallness and I just tied a few bits of string. Cheska of Mooshpie was the real brains behind it all with help from Karli of Designosaur and Toby of I like CATS. Lots of Brighton Etsy Team members decorated little cardboard tents and made awesome decor at the Team Craft Party which also went in to making the window display.

The shield banner was made by the AMAZING Ellen of B Millinery and features the brand new Brighton Etsy Team logo which we designed :o)

Bear With Me...

Hello! We're back from our holiday in Estonia and we've hit the ground running with a WHOLE LOAD of crazy exciting things going on. This means new designs, new PRODUCTS (soon!) and lots of exciting things going on with the Brighton Etsy Team! We were sad to miss the Brighton Etsy Craft Party while we were away (if you missed it too, check out pics HERE! Photos by the awesome Bob Prosser) but we're super happy to be contributing to the Craft Camp window display of Super+Super which is being built tomorrow! ALSO July is Mentor Month which is a scheme the Brighton Etsy team are trialling for Etsy. hello DODO will be mentored by an amazing Etsy seller and in turn we'll be mentoring a newbie. Exciting stuffs! More on that soon... In the meantime have you seen our Bear With Me design yet?! It's our new fave! Life lately...

Hello! We've been rubbish DODOs recently for keeping this 'ere blog nice and updated... Here's a snippet of what we've been up to!

The sun arrived in Brighton! We've been pretty busy with DODO and wedding-y plans but have done our best to get lots of beach time in while the weather lasts.

This also allows Jam to be annoying!

We also fitted in a long weekend at my parent's house in South Wales! That means time with the animals...







On the way back from Wales we stopped off at Weston-super-Mare! It was pretty cool but my Dad wanted to take us bowling and then to a certain restaurant.. the bowling alley had burnt down and the restaurant was closed! Haha! :o)



We did a photoshoot for our new tote bags...here's some behind the scenes pics. Coming to our Etsy shop very soon...
