Our flat may be titchy but we do love being on the top floor and having such fine views! Lots of beautiful houses, chimney pots, the sea (a bit of it anyway!) and all the lovely Brighton birds! Ok, so it may not be the host of gorgeous garden bird's that my parents get in their Welsh garden (see here) but I do love these guys!
How can people say pigeons aren't beautiful?!
This guy landed on our windowsill, right in front of my camera lens...scared me half to death!
The baby seagulls out the back have got to the running-up-and-down-the-roof-flapping-their-wings-stage. This is the bit that makes me nervous! One of them flew down in to the garden last year before it knew how to fly back up and didn't survive.

hello sunshine!
Hurray! It's been a beautiful day here in Brighton after what seems like a lifetime of wind and rain. As it was my day off today I decided to head for the beach and make the most of this bright spell (the Weatherman tells me it won't last, after all). I love days like this when you've pretty much got the whole beach to yourself.
Whilst looking for interesting things that the tide had washed in I noticed this funny bit of seaweed wiggling around... On closer inspection it turned out to be this magical sea creature!! I think it's a Pipefish..? I took a quick photo and then plopped him back in the sea and he quickly swam away. Luckily I found him before the greedy gulls did!
I thought I'd take a little stroll along to the Bandstand...and then a bit further to the beach huts and before I knew I'd walked the whole promenade all the way to FatBoySlim's house! It was so lovely and peaceful. I don't think I could ever take living here for granted!

Rain rain go away...
Evening all! How much rain has there been these last few days?! It felt like it was never going to stop earlier but in stark contrast now it's a beautiful blue sky eve... (Although the clouds occasionally soaring across my view tell me it's bloomin' windy). If you've been following us lately you might have seen OUR NEW TOTE BAG RANGE which I haven't been going on & on about at all! It's not often that I blow our own trumpet but we're both rather proud of these! (They've been a looong time in the dreaming and the planning). And if ever there was a tote bag for the English weather right now I think it would be this...
il pleut Screenprinted Tote available in the hello DODO shop for 10 English pounds!
Anddd...caught on Gull Cam today...
Mrs Seagull thieving things from my window box garden! Ok, so I suppose they are three pots utterly neglected, half fallen over and full of weeds... At least the weeds are going to good use! Check out the little fluffsters now! In exactly one week they have doubled in size, must be all the fish 'n' chips. And is it just me or are they looking suspiciously dodo-like...

All the fun of the fair
Here are a few snaps of our stall at last Saturday's Maker's Boutique at the Unitarian Church, Brighton. Was lovely to see lots of familiar Brighton sellers...before we did fairs we were so nervous that it would be a bit cliquey but everyone is so lovely and friendly!!
We are booked in to be back in August and we are also doing a brand new fair called The Fairy Tale Fair which is organised by the lovely Claire Montgomery...click here for more info!
