Whoa there...

OMGEEEE...somehow it's been over a month since we've updated this here blog?? BAD DODOS. And it's March!! Time is seriously flying right now and there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done that we want to..
Here's a little recap of the last month's events in DODOland...

ROAR!!! It was my (Ali's) Birthday and we went to the Natural History Museum to celebrate and to see dinosaurs!!

Jam got me lovely pressies including these cute soldier stackable mugs. And an AWESOME flask which has had lots of use already (brand new craft fair essential item)



Other amazing pressies include this Cat Amongst the Pigeons skirt from my parents:

LOVE IT! And also my most favourite necklace in the world right now, made and kindly given to me by the uber clever Karli and Jacques of Designosaur...

The swan dress was also a pressie, bought with an ASOS voucher from Jam's lovely sis and her husband.
More nice things....we were privileged to be featured in the the very popular Mollie Makes magazine in a nice little article about AT Open House, also showcasing work by Delicious Industries and Winsome & Saucy. We shall be returning to this amazing Open House in May, can't wait!!!

I won I won!!!

Hello all! Hope you're having an awesome weekend! Jam's been away watching football (not rugby!) today so I've had chance to do a whole host of online-y things including a load of overdue Etsy shop maintenance (tags, product titles, descriptions etc..) annndd also spend some time on this 'ere blog post. 

If you follow us on twitter and have seen me blabbering on about it you'll know that I won the flipping amazing Story Hands New Years giveaway!! Story Hands is a fantastic collective of illustrators made up of Jenny Robins, June Sees, John Riordan, Natsuki Otani and Martyn Warren. I actually met Jenny back in 2010 when my friend Anna (now Anna's Drawing Room) and I worked together under the name Two Magpies and organised exhibitions in Windsor (and one in Brighton). Jenny was part of our first ever show that we put on and painted her amazing owl series 'WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN WHY HOW' for that exhibition which you can see in postcard form in my prizes below! You can read the review of the exhibition Jenny wrote for Amelia's Magazine here (and see a really dorky photo of me and Anna!)

But yes! On to my incredible prizes!!!!

Basically my tweet stating my New Year's resolution (to hold a barn owl and conquer my sewing machine phobia) was picked at random meaning that I won a whole load of goodies from the Story Hands artists including my New Year's resolution illustrated by Jenny...

Alright starling?!

We've been meaning to go down to Brighton Pier at the right time to see the starlings fly for ages and finally got round to it today! Our photos weren't quite as exciting as the ones we took last year though. It was a welcome break from all the planning and designing going on at DODO HQ at the moment! Hopefully in the not too distant future we'll have not only brand new screenprint designs but also brand new and unexpected products! We're ridiculously excited, just wish we could do it all NOW NOW NOOOOW. Tomorrow is our first craft fair of the year! We'll be at Brunswick Pub in Hove with Brighton Craft Alliance from Midday. The Brunswick does yummyscrummy food too so well worth making a lunch visit if you're in the area! Oh..and there's a bit of a LAZY giveaway going on over on our twitter at the mo check it out! :o)
